Hello again!.. Come to find out a bit more about me?.. Well I hope you aren't to disappointed.. :)

I am an Australian, and I live in Roxby Downs, South Australia. My wife Tina and I have lived here for 10 years now, before that we lived in Wudinna, (2 Years) and before that Elliston, (18 Years) both small townships on Eyre Peninsula, on the west coast of South Australia.

I was born in Adelaide, Sth. Aust. in 1953, and my wife in Port Lincoln Sth. Aust. Our son Michael and daughter Rebecca have both left home and are happily existing with their partners in the big wide world.. :), none the less it is nice when they visit. :)

Hobbies? well playing with computers is the main one.. I do repairs and upgrades for folks in trouble.. :) I also do some work (after hours) for my friend who owns and runs the local computer shop, Roxby Computer Services.

Another hobby is music, I love music, I played in several bands as a bass player, guitarist and backup vocal.. (very much in the back.. **LOL**..). Most bands played covers, mainly popular hits of the 60's, 70's and 80's. My favourite musicians at the moment are The Corrs, Sheryl Crow, KD Lang, Shawn Colvin, 1927, Chris Isaak, Paul Kelly, Simply Red and Tommy Emmanuel and a hundred or so others... I could not resist buying the Abba Gold CD.. and Creedence Clearwater Revival Anniversary Album.. Hmm.... says a bit about my age I suppose.. :)) 

Other hobbies include keeping tropical fish, I have several varieties of cat fish, Gouramis and several shark varieties, all happily coexisting with some good old standard goldfish, in a 2 meter aquarium.

We recently added two turtles to our menagerie.. a little boy.. Touche and alittle girl.. Terry-Pin (terrapin) they are only quite small at the moment

I'm a sports fanatic.. armchair type.. haha!!.. I used to play Aussie rules football, till my injuries caught up with me, I also played some cricket, and was not good at it.. but it was fun.. I do a bit of lawn bowling in social competitions. :).

These days I'll watch any really good profession sports, football of any code, Aussie rules, rugby union and league, soccer, gridiron.. (I am a member of the Green Bay packers internet supporters.. ), netball, basketball, swimming, athletics.. etc etc. etc.. I love Aussie Rules most of all though, and I am a Port Adelaide Power supporter, but like the Adelaide Crows, and The Sydney Swans.

So what else is there to know.. Well I did a fair stint in the Site fights Internet Home Page Competition, (see fun stuff page) as a member of the Wombats Warriors, (now the Wombats Roamin' Rascals) there I was also Big Cuddles, leader of the Cuddles Conquerors Cheer Squad, and I was also Spirit Goanna. I have a completely separate site dedicated purely to the site fights called David's Site Fights Mania Have a peek.. be warned it is VERY graphic intensive, but does show the fun I had while competing at the Site Fights. I made the DMan Dome twice, (the best of the best) alas I never won the event, but gave it a good shake!! ha ha!!. Importantly I made many friends at the Site Fights, I still correspond with quite a few of them. (see My Friends Links Page)

That brings my hobbies pretty much to an end, because making these pages is also a bit of a hobby. Other than photos, and commercial graphics, I have created or manipulated all the graphics on this site and at site fights mania. I have been able to help a few folks to start home pages of their own, and that is very rewarding. 

This is a graphic page set I made specifically for my site fighting, Please have a look!. I was very proud of it when it was finally finished.

On the job front I am the Electrical Supervisor with the Roxby Downs Council, and I am in charge of all the electrical distribution system in the Roxby Downs Township. Added to this I am one of the Councils IT and computer support persons and maintain the NT servers and most of the user software, the Councils homepage, and the intranet. Stock control, Occupational Health and Safety Officer, and Year 2000 co-ordinator also fit in there somewhere.. :) so it's certainly not boring.
